The Aiken County Sheriff's Office said today it is searching for two young men who Thursday night robbed Broadwater Convenience Store, 1801 Green Pond Road, in Aiken.

According to a bulletin released by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, at 10 p.m., the two men, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun and the other with a revolver, ran into the store. They demanded and received an amount of money from the cash register.

The gunmen also grabbed several packs of cigarettes. As the teenagers were about to leave, one ordered the clerk to lie on the floor, at which point, the gunman fired the shotgun into the ceiling. No one was injured.

The Aiken Bloodhound Tracking Team responded and tracked the individuals toward Chavous Road.

One suspect is descibed as a black male between 16 and 18 years old and about 5-feet. 5-inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He had a blue bandana over face and was armed with revolver.

Police described the second suspect as a black male, also between 16 and 18. He was about 5-feet, 9-inches tall and appeared to weigh about 150 pounds. He wore a black ski mask and was armed with shotgun.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Aiken County Sheriff's Office: (800) 922-9709. Individuals also should call Crimestoppers of the Midlands: (888) CRIME – SC. Callers can remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of between $50 and $1000.

does it really matter you know the ac is going to publish the description of a black person. But in the instance where it is a white person they don't even tell you the race. Don't believe me. Look at the description they gave of the guy who robbed the bank on reynolds street. go ahead i'll wait........ My point excatly their wasn't one.

I don't think it is much of a description anyway. Basically all it says is a couple of black teens. How exactly does that help anyone protect themselves?

Takeme2, my experience has

Takeme2, my experience has been quite the opposite. In many of the papers I read I've found that a description, when available, is always given on white criminals, while none is EVER written when a black has committed a crime. It's a reverse PC code, description: white, no description: black. In my opinion, ALL criminals should be identified by complete descriptions whenever possible. GGpap.
