Police are looking for an older man they say robbed the Georgia Bank and Trust branch at Reynolds and Eighth streets Monday.

The holdup took place shortly before 10 a.m.

The robber was described as older man, perhaps in his 50s, wearing a green baseball cap, tan jacket and blue jeans.

He put the money in a black backpack and ran down Eighth Street, police said. The money he was given contains a red dye explosive, police said.

The bank is expected to reopen later today.

If the dye pack went off like

If the dye pack went off like it was supposed to, just look for an older man, perhaps in his 50s, wearing a green baseball cap, tan jacket and blue jeans, covered in red dye.

takeme2, do you mean to say

takeme2, do you mean to say the chronicle would have stated that the person was black if he is a criminal? If an African American caught the bank robber, would they mention race?
