Circuit City not closing Augusta store

  • Follow Latest News

Augusta's Circuit City store at 239 Robert C. Daniel Parkway was not on the list of stores that the electronics retailer plans to close this year.

Circuit City released a list this morning of the 155 stores nationwide that it will close, 19 of them are in Georgia.

The retailer is shutting down underperforming stores in an effort to financially restructure the company. It has been affected by wanning consumer confidence and the credit problems of its vendors.

I guess that's good for us...but I really don't see why anyone would go to our CC vs. Best Buy here. It's pretty puny by comparison and I've rarely had competent help there.
