Witness in Nichols case beaten

ATLANTA - Police say inmates at Fulton County Jail beat a witness in the trial of accused Fulton County Courthouse shooter Brian Nichols Tuesday, after the man testified for the prosecution.

Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan says Willie Tiller, a former cellmate of Nichols, suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Tiller testified for the prosecution in the Nichols trial Tuesday. He told a jury Nichols was angry at the judge in his 2005 rape case. Tiller is serving a 10-year sentence for armed robbery.

Flanagan would not comment further, citing a gag order.

A few of these guys are in

A few of these guys are in for murdering an officer. Let's rid the jails of these guys. "An eye for an eye" but our gov. has got to wait 20 years and put everything off. I promise you if you start exterminating these that are convicted of murder, majority of those in the public will see it and think before they act. Some of our children have no value of life because they look up to these individuals for some reason. They think that some rap artist are heroes because they commit crime and get away with it. If the evidence is there lets do it and not make tax payers pay for their stay in jail for 20 years to cause problems for other inmates trying to do the right thing. I realize that Tiller is in there for armed robbery and I know that this is part of jail life but he was trying to do the right thing.

What I don't get is a person

What I don't get is a person would beat on those that are willing to tell what they know and some are not willing to report what happened because they do not want to be a "snitch", however, if the shoe was on the other foot you would want someone to tell what they know to help your family. I don't get it.
