Richmond County school buses running behind in weather

Richmond County school buses are running behind schedule as a line of thunderstorms packing high winds moves through the area, according to a release from school system spokesman Louis E. Svehla.

The delay is because of several traffic lights being out, trees that have fallen and slower traffic from the rain.

Mr. Svehla said parents should be aware that "...we are doing our best to deliver students to their destinations as soon as possible, but want to make sure that safety remains the top priority."
