Investigators from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force believe the Laney-Walker-based Thugg Mafia is responsible for painting on the sides of the building, as well as on Heritage Academy nearby either last night or early this morning.
Surveillance video and at least one substantial print were taken from the scene, according to Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Peebles.
In May, the building was defaced with similar graffiti.
The Signer’s Monument, a 50-foot marble obelisk erected on Greene Street in 1848 to mark the burial place of three signers of the Declaration of Independence, was also vandalized several months ago.
