The reason I am asking this is that someone on here has been libeling my name up and down, left and right, and I objected and his posts remain. Why is that? I don't call other people names, why do you allow a poster to continuously call me a liar, bigot, racist and worse and yet my post above is yanked when I was repeating publicized fact and trying to help law enforcement?

Baroness, what did you say? You are obviously compassionate about it so what could it be?

lets see...typical mug shot, but he is wanted, so that leads me to believe he has been in the system beofre..what did he do and why is he on the streets. augusta needs to get out of the public housing business and take the resources used to police the projects for crime in other areas of the city...

the chronicle doesn't moniter the comments unless someone clicks on the little ! at the lower right corner of each post. someone clicked it and reported it as offensive.

Noone has sent me an explanation. Just because someone reports it as offensive doesn't mean it is. I think it had to do with law enforcement changed which person they were after. I checked nbc and they had changed to the Williams guy, too, by that time. In that case they should have yanked the whole story and started over instead of pulling my post, because I didn't do anything wrong unless there is something I totally overlooked. That's why I want to know why they pulled my post.

dale88, they probably had a good reason (I hope), I just want to know what it is, so if they could so kindly email me, I would appreciate it. If they are not going to be responsive to a paying customer; I just might have to stop buying the newspaper. I really could use that money for gas in my car, anyway. I've been tempted to quit buying the paper before, but it's hard to break a 20 plus year old tradition of buying the Augusta Chronicle and I read my parents' Augusta Herald and Augusta Chronicle in the dark ages before that.

This is sad, but lately I'm feeling that sometimes we don't need to investigate or even make arrests in these crimes. So much money is wasted on idiots killing idiots. Like the old saying, "Kill em all, let God sort them out."

I'm sorry, when I stopped by, I now, wish I had read some of the posts here but it was dinnertime and I was busy and figured I'd get back here to read these sometime later...I'm here now and see you're having quite a time of it about AC removing your post. I'm just wondering whether they did finally contact you about this is all. They never did me after removing my 1st post where all I did was C&P'd someone else's post. Had no idea you couldn't do that. Good luck with this. I'll check back sometime tomorrow and see if you've been by. Good night.

Thanks for asking, namasta. I have no idea what the problem was. There was no foul language, there was no unpublicized information. nbcaugusta did pull the story that I got my info from and replaced it with the next guy, Williams, but I don't know why that info would get my post pulled, since it wasn't inappropriate. It became incorrect, but that wasn't my bad. Is that the only recourse they had in that case, to delete my post? What does C&P'd mean in your post? copied? I didn't copy anything word for word, I paraphrased, so I don't think that's it. I checked my email. No answer. I know it really doesn't matter to anyone else, but I don't want to inadvertently set off the deleting when I don't know why. Sorry it's slowing down reading the other posts justmyopinion, and all, but I just would like to know.

BTurner, possibly, though not a coverup, that's the way it looks to me, too, that they kept updating the article, both on here and I got some info from the TV website that was outdated by the time I read it apparently, just my bad luck to get in the middle of the mix-up. (What's new? LOL) I hope A/C won't hold that against me. I thought when people got deleted they had written something inappropriate, like call people who aren't, racists, liars, and lowlife bigots, for example. Since people haven't been getting deleted for slander like that, I couldn't imagine why my post was getting deleted.
