Police charge Irmo man as fourth suspect in Aiken shooting

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, has arrested a fourth man concerning the murder on Monday of Frederick L. Tucker, 39, 117 Old Barnwell Road, Aiken, South Carolina.

According to a press release from the Sheriff's Office,

Ronald J. Grooms Jr., 22, 238 Pebble Gate, Irmo, is charged with burglary – first degree, possession of firearm during commission of a violent crime, armed robbery, kidnapping and murder.

Mr. Grooms, accompanied by an attorney, surrendered this morning to a SLED agent, the news release said.
