NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Make it two in a row for Vanderbilt against Steve Spurrier-coached teams.

The Commodores upset No. 24 South Carolina, 24-17, on Thursday night. Vanderbilt also beat the Gamecocks in Columbia last season.

South Carolina (1-1) will play host to Georgia on Sept. 13.
