Police say sawed-off shotgun found near Richmond Academy

Authorities are at the Academy of Richmond County this afternoon following the discovery of a sawed-off shotgun in a student’s backpack. The weapon was found after the student was chased by officers for pulling an alarm in the building, according to Richmond County Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Peebles.
