SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Intangaroo won the $250,000 Ballerina Handicap for fillies and mares by 2¾ lengths over Miraculous Miss at Saratoga Race Course on Sunday.

Ridden by Alonso Quinonez, Intangaroo took advantage of a hotly contested pace set by Mistical Plan and Sugar Swirl, ran past the tiring leaders in the stretch and outpaced Miraculous Miss, who rallied to finish a strong second.

Intangaroo, a 4-year-old trained by Gary Sherlock, ran 7 furlongs in 1:22.18 in her fourth victory in six starts this season and earned $150,000 for her owner, the Tom Grether Farm.

Intangaroo paid $12.20, $7.00 and $3.90. Miraculous Miss returned $7.00 and $3.50 and Sugar Swirl, third of eight, paid $2.90.
