A lone gunman robbed a Grovetown Waffle House this morning.

Dressed entirely in black, including a mask and gloves, a man entered the Waffle House on Lewiston Road near Interstate 20 at about 6 a.m., said Columbia County sheriff’s Capt. Steve Morris.

He then brandished a chrome-plated handgun and demanded money from the cash register.

Though about 10 people, including employees, witnessed the crime, no one was hurt, Capt. Morris said.

Police have no description of the vehicle the man used to flee the scene.
