A tornado warning was canceled this morning for portions of Jenkins, Screven, Bulloch, Candler and Effingham counties, according to the National Weather Service.

Doppler radar had showed a line of severe thunderstorms in that area deemed capable of producing a “brief, isolated tornado” that may be wrapped in rain and difficult to detect prior to its arrival.

The warning is in effect until 11:30 a.m.
