Authorities arrested 51-year-old Joseph Linwood Prescott-Reynard on Tuesday after the drug task force officers saw the plants during a helicopter fly over. Officers say they seized $18,000 worth of marijuana plants, cocaine and four weapons from the home.
Prescott-Reynard is charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of cocaine.
He teaches horticulture, health and accounting at Clarke County High School. The school has put him on paid leave.
The teacher tells police he grew the crop for his personal use, but school officials are investigating if he sold marijuana to students.
