Retail company bringing 100 jobs to Edgefield from Pennsylvania

Urban Outfitters Inc., a lifestyle specialty retail company, announced today that it will relocate its wholesale division from Pennsylvania to its operation in the Edgefield County Industrial Park.

The expansion is expected to add an additional 100 jobs, including material handlers, customer service representatives, as well as supervisor and lead positions.

"In these times of economic uncertainty, it is gratifying to have companies such as Urban Outfitters adding jobs," said John Troutman, chairman of the Economic Development Partnership. "Urban is truly a visionary company in the specialty retail sector, and this shows in their sales growth."
