Three men sought in 2 Aiken holdups

Aiken Public Safety investigators are searching for three men in connection with two armed robberies that took place Sunday night.

About 11:15 p.m., three men approached a man on Vincent Avenue in Aiken and robbed his at gunpoint. The victim handed over his cell phone and then ran into house at which time one of the suspects fired the gun at him, Lt. David Turno said in a statement.

About 12:44 a.m. on Hampton Avenue, a man was robbed by three men while he was vacuuming his car at the 3-Way Convenience Store. The victim fled and was shot in the side. He was treated and is in stable condition at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital.
