The checks and ATM card were stolen on April 30 from J.D. Lever Elementary School in Aiken, where the victim is a teacher. Later the same day, surveillance photographs show a woman, who identified herself as 34-year-old Stacy Wheeler of Augusta, cashing the stolen check for $480 at First Citizens Bank. She purchased a car wash a short time later at Shine Pro Car Wash.
The woman is described as black, 34 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds.
