BLACKVILLE, S.C. -- Authorities continued to search today for suspects following Tuesday's robbery of the Blackville branch of the Enterprise bank.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a white baseball cap, red pants and a “Jason”-type face mask. He weighed about 170 pounds and stood about 5-feet, 7-inches tall, witnesses said.

“Jason” is the the fictional character in the “Friday the 13th” horror movie series from the 1980s who wears a hockey mask.

The suspect entered the bank and brandished a small caliber silver handgun and demanded money. He then left with an undisclosed amount of money, said John Holston, the Blackville police chief.

Seven people were inside at the time of the robbery — six employees and one customer. Nobody was injured during the incident, Chief Holston said.

The same bank branch was robbed Jan. 5, 2007. No suspects have been arrested from that robbery.
