AIKEN - The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has arrest warrants for a North Augusta man, who along with another person took money and jewelry last month from a home at 106 Terrace Road in North Augusta.

Investigators are also trying to determine if the man is linked to at least three other burglaries and thefts in the same area.

Brian J. Granger, 19, of the 300 block of Apache Drive in North Augusta, will be charged with burglary-first degree and grand larceny, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

On May 10, Mr. Granger and another man forced their way into the home through a door leading from the carport. They took money and jewelry worth more than $1,000, the release said.

Sheriff's deputies spotted the men and questioned them. They arrested Joshua C. Carver, 17, of Les Drive in Bath, who was charged with burglary-first degree and grand larceny, but Mr. Granger fled, the release said.

Mr. Carver is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr. Granger is asked to call Investigator Charles Cain at (800) 922-9709. Individuals also may call Crimestoppers of the Midlands at (888) CRIME-SC. Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward.
