Two Augusta lighting businesses have a new owner.

Brad Usry, owner of Fat Man’s Forest and Fat Man’s Café, said this morning that his Christmas lighting and landscape lighting businesses have been sold to Augusta businessman Richard Hadlock.

Mr. Hadlock will operate Christmas and Nite Time Decors of Augusta Inc.

The lighting business employees will remain employed under the new ownership, Mr. Usry said.

When asked about the sale of Fat Man’s, Mr. Usry said, “for now we’ve got everything on ice.”

In February, the company announced the impending closing and possible sale of the long-standing café and store.
