5 charged in prostitution sting

Aiken County investigators arrested five men during an undercover investigation into prostitution along South Carolina Highway 421 in Gloverville.

Elvis Brister, 30, of Aiken, is charged with solicitation of prostitution.

Sherman Carpenter, 39, of Graniteville, is charged with solicitation of prostitution.

Oscar Lopez-Valle, 33, of Aiken, is charged with solicitation of prostitution and no driver’s license.

Wesley Mikell, 34, of Trenton, is charged with solicitation of prostitution and simple possession of marijuana.

Rafeal Santos, 36, of Warrenville, is charged with solicitation of prostitution, simple possession of marijuana, driving under suspension and failure to appear.

According to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, after receiving complaints of solicitation in the area, investigators arrested the five men using an undercover operative Friday night.
