Police charge man in April murder

Richmond County deputies charged Bernard Rayfield Ellison, 22, Tuesday morning in the murder of Robert Love.

Mr. Love, 22, was shot several times on April 28 and died later that day at Medical College of Georgia Hospital.

The murder occurred at The Greens on Washington Apartments, formerly Savannah West Apartments, off Washington Road, according to police.

Mr. Ellison was charged with murder and possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime. The case was the only unsolved murder of the year.
