AIKEN - Aiken County investigators, with the help of the Aiken Bloodhound Tracking Team, arrested two men this morning in connection with burglaries and thefts at a convenience store in Montmorenci.

Lt. Michael Frank, spokesman for the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, said investigators are still trying to make positive identifications.

Sheriff's deputies arrested the pair between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. in a mobile home on Psalm Circle in Montmorenci, where deputies recovered lottery tickets, beer, cigars and candy stolen earlier from Montmorenci Junction on Charleston Highway.

Lt. Frank said in the statement that shortly before 3 a.m. the two men pried away the siding on the convenience store and climbed into the business.

Investigators have linked the men to another break-in Wednesday night at the same store.

The men are being held at the county jail. More arrests are likely, the statement said.
