A judge granted bond Monday morning to one of three people arrested Jan. 2 and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine in an upscale Evans subdivision.
Superior Court Judge Duncan Wheale granted a $50,000 bond to Jamie Cloud Brosious, 37, who was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of children, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a Schedule III drug.
If she posts bond, Ms. Brosious would then have to go directly to a Lavonia, Ga., rehabilitation facility, where she would spend eight weeks before moving for at least a year into a facility-affiliated halfway house, according to Judge Wheale's order.
Other bond conditions include restricting Ms. Brosious from her home in the 100 block of Pond View Drive in the Riverwood Plantation subdivision and loss of custody of her two teenage sons.
Bond hearings have not yet been set for Wayne Scott Fernandez, 43, of the 3100 block of Scenic Drive in Augusta, and Cheree Renee Granade, 29, of the 100 block of Kaschwina Court in Grovetown. Both were arrested after leaving Ms. Brosious' home, where a meth lab was found, and were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. They are being held in the Columbia County Detention Center without bond, according to jail personnel.
