One-world government inches closer

One world government? Even in George Orwell's novel 1984, it sounds far-fetched. Is it?

Our secretary of state is currently working behind closed doors with the United Nations to compose and present, to all member nations, a treaty that could ban gun ownership. Cap-and-trade legislation was presented recently at the meetings in Copenhagen, and fortunately Al Gore's theory of global warming has been largely disputed and debunked by various scientific organizations, and the legislation is far from being passed or agreed on.

Our Second Amendment right to own guns is very much in danger! If this treaty is composed and finalized and presented to the United States, remember: We currently have a Congress that is largely anti-gun! We have a "president" who is licking his lips to sign such legislation that would overrule our Second Amendment. Does he envision himself as the president or emperor or king of a one-world government?

I don't know what his and Hillary Clinton's and Nancy Pelosi's hidden agendas are, but I don't like what I am seeing!

William Zimmerman

One World Govt. is

One World Govt. is inevitable. THE QUESTION IS THE TIMING. It will start (and already has with the European Union) with Continental Unions such as Asian, African and North American Unions. The North American Union has been planned and initiated with NAFTA. Our Constitution will fall by the wayside and a new one formed. This is a form of evolution just as evolution will eventially form one Planetary Race. It may take one thousand years or more but will happen. The concern that I have is who are the ones that are pushing it and their motives. I believe that it is the wish of the world's elite and the motive is power and greed. Imagine a plan of forming One World Govt. and then exterminating 75% of the population in order to "fine tool" the genetics. Just keep enough of a sub-race to do the work that technology hasn't addressed. An Elite Utopia sounds far-fetched but keep your eyes and ears open people and your powder dry.! As brilliant as mankind is, how could the recent catastrophies occur? Planned instability and resurrection? Sound like a conspiracy? You better believe it. You can start with The Bilderberg Group and let your research guide you. A knock at my door? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

One world government is

One world government is centuries away, unless there's another "flood and ark" incident. I think the anti-Christians have ruled that out.

Reader54, I completely agree

Reader54, I completely agree with you, with two exceptions: Obama is NOT just a pawn in this. He was one of the attendees at the Bilderberg meeting in 2008, along with Hillary Clinton. AND... as brilliant as mankind is, we cannot control nature. That's not to say that there won't be a "culling" of other sorts, through vaccines or our water supply, though.
Hopefully, as brilliant as mankind is, people will stand up and revolt should there be a treaty banning gun ownership.

Cliff/Patricia/WhippingPost:

Cliff/Patricia/WhippingPost: Never much were one for facts were you. Of course, since it didn't come from Rush or one of your "accurate" sources, you probably didn't read the link. Even if Obama and the Senate aprrove the treaty, there this little tidbit: "UN General Assembly Resolution A/C.1/64/L.38/Rev.1, Oct. 28: &#0133Acknowledging also the right of States to regulate internal transfers of arms and national ownership, including through national constitutional protections on private ownership, exclusively within their territory&#0133
".

techlover, obama said gun

techlover, obama said gun control wasn't one of his goals. I reiterate, how good has Obama's word been so far? Personally, I like it when the U.N. is involved in something. It means nothing will be accomplished.

What wacked out web site did

What wacked out web site did the letter writer, et al, get this tripe from? Really, I mean, just the other day a member of the editorial staff got beaten up pretty good for a lightweight and relatively irrelevant oped piece. So, instead, we want to spend energy on this? The spam email has been debunked already. To make the LTE even more non-credible, the writer gathers up a bunch of irrelevant "stuff" to fill the letter out so that it looks (at a cursory glance, anyway) like it has some substance. What a cheap tactic. THIS is is the group that wants to lead America?

One-world government? Are you

One-world government? Are you people drinking too much kool-aid? We can't even help Afghanistan get organized. And, by the way, for those who have never read our constitution, the president has no authority to sign a treaty that conflicts with the 2nd amendment or any other part of the constitution. This letter is total nonsense.

Armywife: I wasn't referring

Armywife: I wasn't referring to Haiti or natural disasters but to the Global Financial Crises. How can something of this scale occur w/o all the brilliant in the fold? Many Presidential candidates and Presidents have appeared at The Bilderberg Group. That's the point; they come and go but the core remains for life. Then you have The Council on Foreign Relations(CFR),which is a subgroup of The Bilderberg Group, that is a private think-tank led by David Rockefeller and it has an interesting history as well. Your point on vaccines and water supply are well taken. This stuff is in the open but the working man is too stressed trying to keep his house, insurance, and job to concern himself with it. How convenient.

Oh NOES!!! The sky is

Oh NOES!!! The sky is fallling!!!
The only thing I'll address is the guns issue, since the rest of this letter is, at best, the rantings of a paranoid schitzophrenic. As someone pointed out, the President, regardless of who he/she is, does not have the ability to arbitrarily "ban firearms". Period. Additionally, Obama has never once mentioned wanting to do anything remotely like that.

Rhetor. Where have you been

Rhetor. Where have you been this past year? Obama and his fellow progressives don't need a constitutional or legal basis for their actions. They believe in God too and they "is it." Have you not learned by now that what Obama says is not important, but rather watch what he and his fellow radicals do.
