NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mrs. Margaret "Maggie" Sweitzer, 63, of West Woodlawn Ave, who entered into rest January 16, 2010, will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. Private family interment will be held Saturday. Maggie was a native of Albany New York, a former resident of California, Idaho and Washington State, having made the CSRA her home for the past 11 years. She was a University of Washington Alumni, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and held a Masters Degree in Information Technology. Maggie most recently worked as Business Office Technology Instructor at Augusta Tech and was formerly a realtor for many years. Survivors include her husband Rick B. Sweitzer; a son, Scott M. Peehl, New York, NY; a daughter and son-in-law, Kirsten A. and Joshua Yuhas, Seattle, WA; three step-daughters, Melissa D. Kyle, Cleveland, TN, Stephanie K. Havner, Knoxville, TN and Brandi M. Sweitzer, Evans, GA; a step-son, Jacob H. Sweitzer, Evans, GA; a sister, Dorothy J. Schafer, Albany, NY; a niece, Amanda Smith; two nephews, Stephen and Robert Schafer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5 until 7. Posey Funeral Directors of North Augusta in charge of arrangements.
