MAGNOLIA, Texas - On January 5, 2010, Lois Elizabeth Allen Franklin closed her eyes to this world and opened them in her home for eternity. Though she has left us, we will be forever reminded of her compassionate heart and love for God and family. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Franklin will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:30 am at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park, Johnston, SC. The family will receive friends at Bland Funeral Home, Johnston, Friday evening from 5-7 pm. Mrs. Franklin, a native of Wrightsville, Ga, was the oldest daughter of five children of the late Theodore and Lizzie Glisson Allen. She was married to the late Wade M. Franklin for 51 years, was a member of Philippi Baptist Church and Eastern Star. Survivors include daughters: Lorraine Sockwell (Bob), Linda Dodgen, (John).and Marsha Foster (David); brothers: Earl and Ray Allen; sister: Barbara Anderson; granddaughter: Elizabeth Foster; grandsons: Jason and David Dodgen and Samuel Foster.
