LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Mrs. Ina Drinkard Spratlin, 77 of Humphrey St. died Sat., Dec. 19, 2009 at University Hospital, Augusta. Mrs. Spratlin, daughter of the late Samuel Wesley and Reesie Burton Drinkard, was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. Beginning in 1976, she had served as the Vocational Secretary for the Lincoln County Board of Education and retired in 1989. Afterwards, she served as the Director of the Lincolnton Housing Authority. She was a member of Lincolnton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus Ward Spratlin, Sr. , daughter, Valarie Spratlin and was the last surviving of nine children born to S.W. and Reesie Burton Drtinkard. Her family includes: Daughter: Velda S. Aycock, and husband, Marion; Son: Marcus W. Spratlin, Jr., and wife, Fran; Grandchildren: Amberly Aycock Roberts, and husband, Phil, Marcus Ward Spratlin, III, and Caroline Drinkard Spratlin. The funeral will be held Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at 2 o'clock p.m. at Lincolnton Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Rosser officiating. Interment will follow in the Lincolnton City Cemetery. Members of the Fidelis Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The visitation will be held at Beggs Funeral Home on Monday from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service. Larry Collins, Bob Guillebeau, Guil Mattison, Jim Mattison, Johnny Spratlin and Rusty Spratlin will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Fidelis Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lincolnton Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O.
