SAINT CLOUD, Fla. - Mrs. Sharon Strickler, 54, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2009. Sharon was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was the wife of, and survived by, William James Strickler. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rita (Peerless) Micek. She is survived by her father, John Micek of Warner Robins, GA; sister, Angie Spiers of Oxford, England, and her husband Barnaby; sister, Susan Micek of Lake City, GA and brothers Paul Micek, his wife Krista and their son, Stuart, of Belvedere, SC; and Gerald Micek of Warner Robins, GA. She is also survived by her children: Ronald W. Allen II, his wife Kristin and their daughter, Collette, of Houston, TX; Specialist Colin Campbell, currently serving his country in The Republic of Korea; Ian Campbell, of Houston, TX; Doug Strickler, and his wife Devon, of Orlando, FL; Beth Rose, and her husband Jon and children, Julian and Isaiah, of Hendersonville, NC; and Joy Strickler of St. Petersburg, FL. Mrs. Strickler was born on July 2, 1955 in Detroit, MI and lived in various U.S. cities as her father was in the U.S. Air Force. She earned her dental hygiene license from Macon State College in 1979. Later, she earned a Health Services Administrator certification from UCF pursued careers in both office management and real estate. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, looking at pictures of her new granddaughter, her dogs (Kurt & Kirby) and dedicated time to the non-profit organization, Give Kids the World Village. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 18 from 4-8pm at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2000 13th Street, St. Cloud, Fl. 34769, (407) 957-2511. A celebration of Sharon's life will be held on Saturday, December 19 at 10:00 a.m., First Baptist St. Cloud, 1717 13th Street, St. Cloud, Florida 34769, (407) 892-7125 where she will be put to rest. A reception at First Baptist Church will follow immediately after the memorial service. Flowers can be sent to the Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home, attention Sharon V. Strickler memorial.
