MAGNOLIA, Texas - Mrs. Evelyn Dixon Tuten, age 77, of Magnolia, Texas, entered into rest on December 15, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Tuten. Memorial services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Magnolia at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009. Survivors include her daughter, Carla Martinez; her son in law, Steve Martinez; and her grandchildren, Catherine, Matthew, Victoria, Lauren, and Olivia Martinez. Evelyn was born in Augusta, Ga. to the late James and Cathrine Dixon. One of ten children, she is also survived by her sisters, Dot Isdell, Augusta, Nancy Busby and Mrytis Grubbs, Hephzibah; and her brothers, Warren Dixon, Gay, Ga. and Jimmy Dixon, Cumming, Ga. Evelyn made her home in several locations over the years traveling for work with her late husband Charles but retired in Magnolia where she lived out her life with her daughter, son in law, and cherished grandchildren. Evelyn will be dearly missed but her passing leaves behind a peace knowing she is reunited with all those who loved her and have gone before her.
