PLUM BRANCH, S.C. - Mrs. Azielee "Sambo" Mims, widow of Otis W. Mims, died at Self Regional Medical Center December 4, 2009. She was born in Plum Branch, S.C. October 18, 1918 to the late Samuel and Hattie Wells Crawford. She was a member of Pine Grove AME Church. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Jean Leverette and a son, Rufus (Brenda) Mims; sisters, Wilhemina Johnson and Beulah Strong; a brother, Jesse Crawford; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren; two sisters in law, Mary Crawford and Elge Freeman. Services are Thursday at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove with the Pastor Rev. Wanda Aull and Rev. J. J. Robinson officiating. The family is at her home, 172 Pine Grove Church Road.
