WARRENVILLE, Ga. - Entered into rest on December 3, 2009, Mr. Allen J. Arey, Sr., 62, husband of Mrs. Bonnie Hatcher Arey, of 9 Line Street, Warrenville, SC. Surviving with his wife, is a son, Allen Arey, Jr. (Jennifer), U.S. Navy stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; a daughter, Beth Arey Hendrix (Nathan), Highland, Illinois; three siblings, Linda Fitzgerald and Roy Arey, both of Davenport, Iowa and Bill Arey, Lake City, Fl., and a granddaughter, Natascha Arey. Mr. Arey was born in Clinton, Iowa to the late Clarence and Mildred Claussen Arey. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and retired as a Chief Petty Officer with 21 years of service. Memorial services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sweetwater Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Smart, Rev. Brian Ayers, Dr. Paul Noe and Dr. Eleazer Benenhaley officiating. His son, Allen Arey, Jr. will arrange his father's Burial at Sea with Full Military Honors in Hawaii. The family will greet friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, P.O. Box 6767, Richmond, VA 23230-0767.
