For almost the entire last four years of President Bush's administration, we were treated to so much heavy Bush-bashing that it became almost nausea-inducing. Granted, Bush and his administration did deserve some of it. Many would say they deserved all of it and more, but that is an opinion.
In 2008, the country held an election, and Bush and his administration were replaced. This is the way we do things in this country, and whether or not you agree, it is the law of the land and as such should be observed.
In January, Bush left office and President Obama took office. Obama was elected on a campaign of "hope and change," and promised that things would be changed. Well, it has been almost one full year, one-fourth of his term, and things have, in fact, changed. I leave it to the people to decide whether or not the changes made are good or bad. I have my own opinion about it.
Since it has been almost one-fourth of the new administration's term of office, it is reasonable to expect that they are now in charge. If that is the case, why do the Bush-bashers continue to spew their rhetoric? They claim that Bush created all the problems.
The Democrats and Obama ran on a platform of change. Obama has both a Democratic House of Representatives and a Senate, so he should be able to correct any problems that may have been created by Bush. Since Obama is now in charge, why is it necessary to blame Bush for the problems? As of Jan. 20, those problems are now in the care and consideration of the Obama administration.
I leave it to the population of the United States of America to judge as to how these problems are being changed. In any case, it is no longer necessary to Bush-bash. He's not in charge now!

One day we will have a female president,,,& I'm sure SHE will do what all the men couldn't do..(we have been doing it for years)We can cook,nurse a baby,,clean,,watch tv,,work at a job, keep up with politics,,catch fish for supper,,take care of our elders,, whew I'm tired just thinking of everything we do..lol
You could point to the stimulus package, but most of it has not been used yet and has not had the effect. Cash for clunkers was poorly administered, did little for the American auto industry long term but has devastated the used car market in the short term. He failed to win the Olympics for Chicago. His biggest achievements have been winning the election and winning the Nobel peace prize for replacing Bush.
Obama has the House and the Senate, but he does not have the majority of the United States citizens when he tries to implement his Socialist ideas. Those in the House and the Senate that are Dems feel the heat back at home, and know that Obama does not affect their jobs, the people back at home do. As long as the American people let their voices be heard by their elected officials, Obama does not really have anyone on his side if his policies run counter to what the American people feel is right. Hope and change is coming in 2010, now that is something we can believe in.

O'Conner: Interesting republicans want people to quit the Bush-bashing but no one cut the Clinton-bashing. Talk show hosts like Limbaugh bashed Clinton through the whole eight years Bush was in the White House.

We must remember that the libs keep saying prezbho hasn't had time to do anything but then say he's doing a good job. Which is it? All he's done is fly all over starting a bunch of stuff (while continuing to campaign) but hasn't completed a thing and that's probably a good thing. He sure makes them think he's doing something. But in the eyes of the libs, he's done a good job.

Husein has done nothing on health care, the bills are all written by others, so in essence, he has done nothing. "Limits on lobbyist access to the WH", are you crazy???? He has lobbyists in his administration, and his guest list is full of lobbyists. Focusing on the Afghan war, everyone knew that was the next step after Iraq had settled down. You state things with no basis for facts. Tell us what HE has done for health care. Tell us how HE has restricted lobbyists. Tell us why he did not listen to the advice of his HAND PICKED General. Reporting full information? Certainly not the transparency he promised when so much is hidden from the public view so he can ram his Socialist ideas through, surround himself with self avowed Communists and Anarchists, and spends money that we do not have on programs the citizens do not want. Hope and Change we can REALLY believe in come 2010.

Each day, when I read the comments of the liberal democrats (sorry for the redundancy) here, I am reminded of my roommate in Munich, Germany. He stayed up late every night of the 1972 Democratic National Convention because, as he said, "It is better than a circus." He was a life-long Democrat, and thought that his party was a collection of clowns. You folks show that there has been no change in the last thirty-seven years. Oh, and btw, if looking back caused one to become a pillar of salt there would be NO Democrats in this country.

I'd say FOX "news" relentless bashing of the Obama administration far exceeds any of that by the so called "liberal press". More to the point, the hole that the Bush administration left us in can't be ignored in the context of the progress being made by the current administration. You can't discuss one without the other.
Bushwhacker ... name one democrat in Congress that does not have some moral issue that needed cleansing and excuse me Palin did not commit the sin... her daughter did and Palin allowed her to suffer the consquences not cover it up or demand that what she did was okay... she stood up and did the right thing for the child created and for her own.
