AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, November 29, 2009, Mr. Myrthell Counts, Sr., of Old Louisville Rd., husband of Mrs. Dianne Nicholson Counts and son of James and Dorothy Counts. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2009, at 1 p.m. from Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 1714 Olive Rd. Rev. Clarence Moore is Pastor and Rev. William B. Blount officiating. Burial in Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. Mr. Counts was a native of Aiken, S.C. and was called "Nell" by family and friends. He is a 1982 graduate of South Aiken High School. He was employed by Murray Cookie Company, Augusta, Ga., for 23 years. Survivors are his wife, Dianne N. Counts; four sons, Alvin Terrell Counts, Myrthell Marquis Counts, Jr., Quentin Lamar Counts, and Master Treyvon Deondre Counts, all of Augusta, Ga.; one granddaughter, Little Lady Azya Counts, Augusta, Ga.; his parents, James and Dorothy Counts, Augusta, Ga.; five brothers, James (Alma) Counts, Jr., Augusta, Ga., David (Sharon) Counts, Leon (Myra) Counts, Aiken, S.C., Moses (Shelia) Counts, Hephzibah, Ga., and Paul Counts, Waycross, Ga.; two sisters, Rose Counts and Gail (Dwight) Wyatt, Augusta, Ga.; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
