Only Brentwood, in a Georgia Independent Schools Association Class AA game, is at home. Thomas Jefferson is at defending champion Terrell Academy in GISA Class A, and Williston-Elko meets Scott's Branch at South Carolina State for the Class A Division II title.

Wardlaw Academy (SCISA 8-man) holds the area's lone state title.

RESILIENT DEVILS: In a 47-39 win over Eagle's Landing Christian on Friday, Lincoln County gave up the third-most points ever under coach Larry Campbell , according to Georgia High School Football Historians Association records. The Red Devils still found a way to win, setting a season high in points scored.

They rallied for that win in the fourth quarter after giving up 289 rushing yards to freshman rusher Keonte Green , including touchdowns runs of 65 and 78 yards on his first two carries.

"After the first two runs by (Green), I didn't think we would be playing Thanksgiving (week)," Campbell said a day later.

Waynesboro beat Lincoln County 42-13 in the final game of the 1972 regular season. Washington-Wilkes scored 55 in a 2001 win.

FIRST LOOK: Jefferson County's Class AA quarterfinal at Calhoun could be a nice preview for a future rivalry. Calhoun's star player, Da'Rick Rogers , is a Georgia recruit. B.J. Bostic , Jefferson County's star, is a Georgia Tech recruit.

They are similar players who will touch the ball often. Rogers (6-2, 200) projects to be a receiver in college; Bostic (5-11, 175) a defensive back.
