Demetrius Minor says he learned a thing or two about Washington while a White House intern. Now, he's sharing his political analysis with others via a Web-based show to be filmed biweekly at Augusta State University.
"When you go to Washington, D.C., you get a good insight politically and also culturally of what evolves and happens there. So I'm trying to bring that insight locally," said Mr. Minor, an Augusta State senior and political science major who worked as a White House intern in President George W. Bush's correspondence office in 2006.
The 10-minute show, The Starting Point, includes three other Augusta State students.
It can be seen on You Tube, Twitter and Facebook by searching for the show's name to find the pilot episode.
Joseph Cornelison is the show's director/producer. Nikki Boner is a writer and research assistant, and Andrew Jensen is a research assistant. The show is to be filmed at Augusta State's TV/Cinema studio, but the university doesn't officially sponsor it.
"It's a nonpartisan show. ... We're going to bring it from both perspectives," said Mr. Minor, the show's host.
