SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico --- Paul Williams hit the go-ahead 3-pointer and went 4 for 4 from the free-throw line in the last minute to seal No. 18 Dayton's 63-59 comeback win over No. 21 Georgia Tech in the opening game of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip-Off on Thursday.
Williams finished with 13 points for Dayton (2-0), which got 47 points from its backups, including 19 from Chris Johnson.
The Yellow Jackets (1-1) trailed 31-22 at the half, but a 3-pointer by Brian Oliver gave Georgia Tech its first lead of the second half at 49-47.
A layup by Zachery Peacock on an offensive rebound with 4:37 to play gave the Yellow Jackets a 57-50 lead.
"We had a little flow going and then we got a little frantic, gave them some life," Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt said. "The turnovers really hurt us, but you have to give credit to Dayton's energy."
The Flyers had 22 turnovers, but they scored 27 points off 26 Georgia Tech turnovers.
Maurice Miller and Derrick Favors led Georgia Tech with 10 points apiece, and Gani Lawal had eight rebounds in helping the Yellow Jackets outrebound Dayton 34-26.
NO. 1 KANSAS 94, CENTRAL ARKANSAS 44
In Lawrence, Kan., Tyrel Reed hit four 3-pointers for 12 points and Kansas scored 23 consecutive points in the first half to overwhelm Central Arkansas.
Coming off a tight victory over Memphis two days earlier, Kansas (3-0) dismantled Central Arkansas from the start. Spreading the ball around on offense, the Jayhawks shot 57 percent and had four players score 12 points for their 43rd consecutive home win.
NO. 4 KENTUCKY 102, SAM HOUSTON STATE 92
In Lexington, Ky., DeMarcus Cousins had 27 points and 18 rebounds to help Kentucky (3-0) outlast Sam Houston State in the Cancun Challenge.
Sam Houston State (2-1) hung around deep into the second half behind stellar 3-point shooting, led by senior guard Corey Allmond, who poured in 37 points and made a Rupp Arena record 11 3-pointers. The Bearkats made 18 of 38 3-pointers and never let Kentucky get comfortable.

In San Juan, Puerto Rico, freshman Isaiah Armwood hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 17 seconds left, rallying Villanova (3-0) in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip-Off.
SYRACUSE 95, NO. 13 CALIFORNIA 73
In New York, Scoop Jardine scored a career-high 22 points, Wes Johnson had 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Syracuse (3-0) raced past California (2-1) in the 2K Sports Classic semifinals.
NO. 24 MINNESOTA 76, UTAH VALLEY 51
In Minneapolis, freshman Rodney Williams had 17 points, six rebounds and four steals in his first career start, helping Minnesota (3-0) pull away in the second half.
