Military reports

The following military announcements have been made:

- Air Force Airman 1st Class Christopher A. Cobb , a 2000 graduate of Hephzibah High School and son of Roosevelt and Linda S. Cobb, of Augusta, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Army Spc. Jadrin V. Rhymes, a 2008 graduate of Augusta State University and son of Brenda Fletcher, of Hephzibah, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

- Army Reserve Pfc. Yolanda N. Smallwood, a 2009 graduate of Josey High School and daughter of Barbara Shipman, of Augusta, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia.

- Air Force Airman Ossie L. Davis Jr. , a 2009 graduate of the Youth Challenge Academy at Fort Gordon and son of Wanda Simms and Ossie Davis, of Augusta, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Gets FFA honor

Alan Chavous , a member of the Cross Creek High School FFA chapter, has received the American FFA Degree in recognition of his leadership abilities and achievements in agricultural business, production, processing and service programs.
