Ex-Falcon gets shot at former team

When Michael Boley left the Atlanta Falcons last year for free agency, he didn't exactly depart on good terms.

Now, as the New York Giants prepare to face Boley's old team Sunday, the linebacker doesn't want to get too excited about trying to gain revenge.

"If I do that, then I might try to do too much," Boley said Wednesday after practice. "Especially with the way things went down, I don't want to get too pumped up. But I was definitely looking forward to this game."

DOLPHINS: Miami's leading rusher, Ronnie Brown , was placed on injured reserve because of a foot injury -- his second season-ending injury in three years.

EAGLES: With Brian Westbrook sidelined after sustaining two concussions in three weeks, Philadelphia is turning to rookie running back LeSean McCoy .

Westbrook won't play Sunday against Chicago, and it's unknown if he'll return this season.

REDSKINS: Running back Clinton Portis is again "very doubtful" for Sunday's game against Dallas as he continues to recover from a concussion.

BRONCOS: Kyle Orton (ankle) isn't practicing as Denver installs its game plan for San Diego. Backup Chris Simms took the snaps at practice.

Steelers: Safety Troy Polamalu wore a heavy brace on his reinjured left knee while watching practice and did not take part in any drills.

RAIDERS: Benched former No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell, handing the starting quarterback job to journeyman Bruce Gradkowski.

BROWNS: Quarterback Brady Quinn was fined by the NFL for his low hit on Baltimore's Terrell Suggs . After throwing an interception in Monday night's 16-0 loss to the Ravens, Quinn dived at Suggs' knees while trying to bring down cornerback Chris Carr , who had picked him off. Suggs had to leave the game.
