Bi-Lo Charities gives thousands to area groups

Bi-Lo Charities donated more than $113,000 Monday in grants to 10 area organizations. The organizations were chosen for their ongoing work with children's needs, education and hunger relief.

Charities that received grants: Area Churches Together Serving, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta, Edgefield County Senior Citizens Council, John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School, Medical College of Georgia Children's Medical Center, Operation Reach Out, Relay for Life Edgefield County, Safe Kids East Central, Stephen's House Food Pantry/Washington Church of God and Salvation Army Nancy Moore Thurmond Boys and Girls Club.
