The money will also fund new equipment for the Walton Outpatient Therapy Center.

- The Evans La-Z-Boy store collected nearly $1,400 for Augusta Urban Ministries and gathered a tractor truckload of furniture (55 pieces) to be donated and sold in the Ministries' thrift store. The store conducts a bi-annual trade-in event for the benefit of Augusta Urban Ministries.

- Georgia Theatre Co. raised $18,000 through its annual Food & Film for a Cause event at Evans Stadium Cinemas and Masters Value Cinemas. This was the first year the Augusta market participated and finished third in Georgia in fundraising.

The money will be split, with $6,077 donated to the United Way of the CSRA, Boys & Girls Clubs of Augusta and American Red Cross of Augusta.
