That changed Saturday night when the Bulldogs rallied from an early two touchdown-deficit and pulled out a 31-24 victory to beat Auburn for the fourth time in a row.

Quarterback Joe Cox pumped his fist as the final 10 seconds ran off the clock.

Before the Bulldogs celebrated the victory in Sanford Stadium, the venue was quiet for several minutes as Georgia safety Bacarri Rambo was sprawled out near the end zone after breaking up a pass intended for Mario Fannin with 1:16 to play.

Rambo was carted off the field, but not before he raised his arms to the crowd despite being strapped down. Fans chanted "Rambo, Rambo" as he was taken out of the stadium.

Justin Houston and Cornelius Washington sacked Chris Todd on third down, and Bryan Evans and Brandon Boykin broke up a pass in the end zone to seal the win.

Running back Caleb King had fourth-quarter touchdown runs of 11 and 24 yards to blunt the impact of a 99-yard Auburn kickoff return for a touchdown.

The Bulldogs had lost its most recent rivalry games to Florida, Tennessee and Georgia Tech, which each rolled up 41 or more points. Georgia held Auburn to 342 yards of total offense, more than 100 below its average and won despite losing star receiver A.J. Green in the second quarter with a shoulder sprain.

The Bulldogs (6-4, 4-3 SEC) gained bowl eligibility, extending its streak to 13 years. They haven't lost to the Tigers (7-4, 3-4) since 2005.

Auburn jumped ahead when Todd hit a wide-open Kodi Burns for a 5-yard touchdown pass. A 31-yard strike to Terrell Zachery put Auburn up by two touchdowns with 3:47 left in the first quarter.

Bowl eligibility does not mean as much considering the amount of bowl games. It is a good win for Georgia. Willie Martinez & Mike Bobo get a little relief for a few days. Remember Georgia fans, you have Kentucky before Tech. Play them one at a time.

Enjoy the win GO TECH!

somebody give washaun ealey credit, he's the reason we won. give him the ball 25 times a game and in 4 years, he'll be the next touchdown leader in the sec.

I am sure most UGA fans want to win out no matter, what but I bet a few would be scared if that meant saving Willie Martinez's job.
