Rants and Raves

WHO ELSE IN Augusta is speaking up? Thank You, Woody Merry.

I'D RATHER BE an intellectually self-sufficient liberal than a "me-too" follower of Fox's crybaby Glenn Beck.

AITKEN! If you would take a look at his criminal history, you would see he is not the person we need to vote for!

PAT COLE HAS won mayor of Blythe. Now we are going to lose a good police chief in Chief Hornsby.

RAVE TO the Rev. Jim McCollough of Woodlawn Methodist Church for partnering with Kathryn Perrin and Monte Sano Elementary School. Everyone benefits.

THE AUGUSTA COMMISSION paid a consulting firm $74,000 to "determine whether the Utilities Department was ready to run the (water treatment) plant itself." If it's necessary to hire outside help to do the job that's supposed to be done by the Utilities Department, why have a Utilities Department? Does any of modern government make the slightest bit of sense?!

TO ALL THE PEOPLE who get water from the spring on Wrightsboro Road: Is free water worth causing an accident or maybe hurting someone? As far as I know water is not that expensive! Get off the road!

I AM A BLACK FEMALE living in south Augusta, and it is an absolute shame that anyone would vote for Mr. Fennoy. This man's behavior is an absolute disgrace to all Augustans. What are you people in that district thinking?

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT is deeper than one trillion dollars in debt and Obama says he will fix it with "reform," but not with spending cuts. That is of course just as idiotic as Obama's many other actions and words.

LOOK, I UNDERSTAND that some people need government assistance to purchase food, but don't ask me to buy your food stamps. Get a ... job and stop smoking crack.

IT SEEMS THE Federal Reserve summoned some top bankers to a meeting to threaten those banks if they don't toe the (Obama?) line. Is that extortion? Chicago style?

A RAVE TO FREEDOM of speech and a rant to the judicial system. They should do away with part-time judges all together. They are allowed to do private attorney practices as a part-time judge. What is the outcome when they represent a client in front of their counterpart judge? Go figure. The system is corrupt and when juvenile court is involved the best interest of children is neglected. They don't even know or care about the whole picture.
