Entry fee is $30. Prizes will be awarded for the four biggest fish weighed in. Top prize will be $500 based on 50 entries. There is an 18-inch minimum on stripers and hybrids. Hours are safe light until 4 p.m. Profits will be donated to Robert and Mary Ann Edwards. Robert is undergoing treatment for cancer. Noel and David Brown, five bass, 14 pounds, 6 ounces. Bob Jacobs and David Schlachter, five bass, 10.1 pounds. Craig Johnson and Kip Ashmore, five bass, 8 pounds, 15 ounces. Hans Cansler and Jeremy Reese, five bass, 8 pounds, 14 ounces. Ed Rice and Larry Atkins, five bass, 8 pounds, 6 ounces. Big fish: No. 1, Jacobs, 3 pounds, 8 ounces. No. 2, Noel Brown, 3 pounds, 7 ounces. Thirty-four boats in the field. Nearly $2,000 was raised for the Boy Scouts.

Fishing Tournament

Oct. 23-24 results

From Edisto Beach, S.C.

Winner was Julian Roberts with a two-day total aggregate weight for redfish and sea trout of 11.48 pounds. The 17 anglers participating in the invitation only event weighed in 69 red drum (redfish) and 59 sea trout weighing a total of 53.14 pounds. Each angler was limited to three reds and three trout per day. Sportachica was founded by Bill Hollingsworth III, Braye Boardman, Tom Blanchard and Brett Woodward. Previous tourneys were held at Sea Island, Ga., Fripp Island, S.C., and Isle of Palms, S.C. The tournament also raises money for charities.

Fort Gordon Sportsman's Club

Schedule: Sunday, bass tournament, safe light until noon.

Tournaments will be limited to the first 20 boats and are open to all ID cardholders and the public with a Fort Gordon fishing license guest permit. Entry fee is $10 per Fort Gordon Sportsman Club member, $20 per non-member, with an optional $5 big fish pot, with a guaranteed $100 for first place and $50 for second place. Registration is with the club prior to the tournament or 30 minutes before the event's start. State licenses and Fort Gordon fishing permits required.
