As a hospice nurse, we know the quality of care patients recieve during this emotionally difficult time. There is NOTHING more rewarding than for a patient, at the end of their life, thank us for what we have done for them during this time. I treasure not only this thanks but also being treated like a member of their family, People constantly ask me "How can you be a Hospice Nurse" and I simply respond "I can not imagine NOT being a hospice nurse". Our team of caregivers include the nurses, doctors, chaplain, aides, social workers, patient care coordinator, director, and volunteers, marketers that make the difference to our patients. A salute to all hospice workers but most of all to the patients and families we serve.
