Ella M. Young (TRENTON, S.C.)

TRENTON, S.C. - Mrs. Ella M. Simpkins Young, 83, of Sandy Run Road, entered into rest November 4, 2009. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2009, at Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Young, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Science Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Young, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Science Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she belonged to several auxiliaries: the senior choir, willing workers club, president of church club and director of BVS. Survivors include four daughters, Inez Y. Elam (Milton, III), Betty Y. Butler (Calvin), Sharon Y. Holmes (Stanley) and Karen Y. Lewis (Victor); three sons, Johnnie Young, Jr. (Rosie), Ronnie A. Young, Sr. (Mattie) and Sammie Young (Clara); one sister, Mary Lee Pressley; one brother-in-law, Jimmy Young; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; devoted friends of the family, Lizzie Hudson and Edmaster Patterson; a host of other relatives and friends.
