NAMING FIGHT: Commissioner Corey Johnson proposed last month naming the new courthouse after John H. Ruffin Jr., Augusta's first black Superior Court judge. Though others said the building shouldn't be named for anyone, the commission voted 6-1 on Oct. 20 to put Judge Ruffin's name on the courthouse.
Why does everything in Augusta have to be named after "Augusta's first black ..." (fill in the blank)??? How racial is that Corey Johnson?
Dear RC Commisioners, etc ... you cannot PREACH equality yet PRACTICE separation!!! Enough said!
