DEARING, Ga. - Mr. Marvin Murphy, 76, beloved husband of Mrs. Wanda Hood Murphy, of Dearing, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, November 6, in the Iron Hill Advent Christian Church Cemetery, with Pastor M.L. Barber officiating. Mr. Murphy was a native of McDuffie County. He was the son of the late David & Berta Mae Murphy. He was retired from the Maintenance department of E-Z-Go. He was a member of the Iron Hill Advent Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wanda Hood Murphy, Dearing; two daughters, Amanda Story, Louisville and Tammy Pope, Thomson; a son, Mark Murphy, Georgia; three sisters, Lois Edmunds, Dearing, Linda Williams, Graniteville, S.C., and Doris (Dot) Harlow, Virginia; two brothers, Earl Murphy, Dearing and Ben Murphy, Ohio; and 8 Grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
