FORT WORTH, Texas --- Brad Keselowski 's future with Penske Racing will start three races earlier than planned.
The Nationwide Series driver will move into the No. 12 Dodge for the Dickies 500 on Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway and finish the season with the team to get a jump on the 2010 season.
Keselowski will finish the Nationwide season in the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet. He has made several selected starts in the Sprint Cup Series this year, including a stunning victory in April at the Talladega Superspeedway.
Keselowski also will drive fulltime in the Nationwide Series next year for Penske.
TEST TIME: The Car of Tomorrow for the Nationwide Series got its first real test Monday at Talladega.
Eight teams drove the new car, which is wider and taller than the traditional car. All four manufacturers -- Ford, Dodge, Toyota and Chevrolet -- were involved. The car will be used in four races next year. The full implementation will come in 2011.
Eight drivers were involved in the test: Jeff Burton , Justin Allgaier , Kevin Harvick , Kelly Bires , James Buescher , Ricky Stenhouse , Colin Braun and Trevor Bayne .
Speeds in multi-car packs of traffic reached 194 mph.
RUMOR MILL: Jamie McMurray 's victory Sunday in the AMP Energy 500 at Talladega might accelerate his contract talks with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing.
Both sides apparently have agreed to terms, but they're struggling to convince sponsor Bass Pro Shops that McMurray fits their rugged outdoor persona.
CHASE RACE: Brian Vickers is the first driver in the Chase for the Championship to be officially eliminated from title contention. Denny Hamlin , Carl Edwards , Kasey Kahne and Ryan Newman all are on the verge of being eliminated.
