My thoughts: Harvard graduate and artist Ryan Leslie's album Transition, released on Universal Motown Records, provides a fresh and clean-cut sound for the latter part of the year.

Transition, composed of 11 tracks, all of which were written, arranged, produced and engineered by Mr. Leslie is the second CD of the year by the diligent artist. Throughout the relaxed album, the lyrical ability and production style of Mr. Leslie is can be sensed by the listener.

Due to the lack of outside artists and producers, the tracks of the extended production begin to resemble one another as the album progresses. Transition is a must-have for those interested in music unlike the material of today's artists.
